Dear Baby Jake,

My oh my what a wonderful ride this past nine months has been. Life is full of gifts and you and your sisters have been the best gifts I could ask for. Knowing that you are my last baby,this time is very bittersweet. I can’t wait to touch my toes again and run, jump and play like I used to. But, at the same time, I know I will miss every tumble, kick and hiccup you have given me. I am trying to remember every little detail. I will take pictures with my heart what I can’t take with my camera. With that said, I can’t wait to touch your toes and run, tumble and play with you.

You have two very excited BIG sisters that ask about you every single day. Mia is probably going to “mother” you. I have a feeling that the two of you with be very close and I can’t wait to see your relationship grow. Emmy is going to be your buddy. She is a tom-boy in a dress. I have a feeling I’m going to find the two of you in the most curious of predicaments. To them you will be a real-live baby doll. I’m sorry in advance.

Your Dad, while he will never admit it, is very excited to have a son. We love all three of you equally but there is just something about having a little boy that I know he has wanted. He is worried about spending time with all of you. Somehow I know it will all work out.

Little man, you have completed our family. I will always be forever thankful for you. We simply can’t wait to meet you. And the countdown has begun… Only 12 or so more days until you arrive.

We are ready little guy. Any day now.
